Jan Murphy is the founding partner of the firm. Jan is a native of Sampson County. She received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from East Carolina University in 1977. She has over 30 years of experience in public accounting. Jan’s areas of concentration include individual income tax and small business tax.
Jan currently resides in Greenville, NC with her husband, Danny. They have two children. A son who graduated with his MBA from ECU, and a daughter who graduated from UNCW with degrees in Exercise Science and Biology. Jan is a member of St. James United Methodist Church. She is also a longtime supporter of the ECU Pirate Club. Additionally, Jan is a member of the AICPA and The Coastal Plains Chapter of the NCACPA.
